Where are the good old days, when you could watch TV, without interruptions? Movies from beginning to the end!? Ah...those were the times... If anybody thinks we were spoiled then he is wrong. We didn't have...three hundred plus channels, but at least we had quality programing. You had your filling with a movie and you could go on to do things for the rest of the day. It became a major waste of time, and by night, when you realize you were sitting in front of that 'fraud box' eating chips, you didn't see anything, but those three commercials repeated over and over again, until your head spins. We pay good money for our monthly TV subscription, just to get our brain washed to buy the latest super-absorbent kitchen tissue. At some point, depending on the day, and my mental state, I could kick the three fat guys dressed in that thing... I wondered how much time is wasted on commercials so I used a stop-watch...just for curiosity. The results were shocking...Let's just say, that everyone with a TV should sue for half of their money back. What a lucrative business! Companies pay for advertising air time, and we pay for the same commercials to those 'certain' TV companies. Double the profit...way to go! But wait...that is just half of the story. Have you noticed the amount of reruns? Movies and all...? There is about a month or two of new programing every beginning of season (that is September each year), after that they rerun the same things, back to back, until next September. There are at least ten channels where you can see the same show at the same time. They sell you the same thing every month, all year long, and for years. And that is nothing!...I have seen shows that were new five years ago! Oh yeah...and what about the unbearable background noise and music, that is so loud and dominant lately, that you cannot hear the narrator? You turn it up in hope you'll hear it better, but all you do is hear louder music and noise. They don't just ruin your hearing they damage your sight by playing dozens of picture frames in about two seconds. Who needs that? Just pay attention...you'll see what I mean. You...who sit there and read, and...perhaps are in decision making position at a TV company....do something about this, you moron. I almost mastered pressing right on time the 'mute' on the TV remote control when the commercials come on. Are they loud or what?...I guess it is to wake you up in case you dare to dose off...so you won't lose watching any commercials. I don't know about you...but I started to look on the bright side of these facts. I started to watch less TV and do far more satisfying things like... walking, camping, gardening, shoveling snow?...and writing about...how bad TV had became lately. What a disgrace...
